What’s new in Ease

Every release of Ease on the Mac App Store, most recent first. Updates install through the App Store.

Ease 2.0

iCloud sync, Contacts and a complete redesign

Ease 2.0 is the biggest update yet.

  • iCloud sync: keep your projects, tasks, documents and contacts in sync across your Macs. It is optional, uses your private iCloud database, and turns on in Settings.
  • Contacts: keep track of the people in your network. Note each person’s role, company and how you met, set a relationship status and a follow-up rhythm, and log calls, emails, messages and meetings.
  • Follow-ups that don’t slip: type “follow up friday” when you log an exchange and Ease plans it as a task. The Contacts page lists who to follow up with, the dashboard shows the most pressing, and a sidebar badge counts overdue ones.
  • Contact sheets with Details, Interactions and Notes tabs, rich-text notes, and one-click copy for email and phone.
  • A complete redesign in light and dark: a clearer dashboard with your progress and upcoming deadlines, a task board with project filters, and a colour for each project.
  • Documents: arrange them in any order and file them into folders by drag and drop. In the editor, Return adds a line break and ⌘↩ starts a new paragraph.
  • Undo any deletion for a few seconds, right from its notification.
  • Collapse the sidebar with ⌃⌘S for more room.
  • A new yearly plan with two months free, alongside the monthly plan. New subscribers get a one-week free trial.
  • Many refinements: smoother animations, better keyboard navigation and accessibility, and more reliable backups.
  • Fixes: dragging a task while a project filter was active could remove tasks from other projects. Ease also no longer shows an error page at launch when the App Store cannot be reached.
